Butyrospermum parkii · Theobroma cacao
Shea & Cocoa Butter
Rich, emollient moisturisers for deep softening. Used in Ayurvedic formulations for dry, crepey skin that requires more than surface hydration.

Nourishing botanical oils — sweet almond is gentle and fast-absorbing, wheatgerm is rich in vitamin E and fatty acids used in Ayurveda for mature and dry skin.
Aloe barbadensis · Rosa damascena
Aloe Vera & Rose
Cooling, soothing, and hydrating. Rose (gulab) is Ayurveda’s classic Pitta-cooling ingredient. Aloe (ghritkumari) calms and supports the skin.

The Ayurveda Story
The Body Lotion is our everyday answer to that principle. Not the deepest nourishment in our range — that is what the oils are for — but the most versatile and accessible, in a format that fits every morning.
We use gentle, plant-derived preservatives to maintain the stability of the water-in-oil emulsion — the same approach used by responsible modern Ayurvedic formulators who understand that a safely preserved product is always better than an unstable one.
Manufactured in India under a government-issued AYUSH license.
Frequently Asked
How is this different from the body oils?
Lotions absorb faster and are easier to apply during the day. Body oils penetrate deeper and work best on damp skin after a shower. Many customers use both — the lotion in the morning, the oil after their evening shower.
Does it contain preservatives?
Yes — a minimal amount of gentle, plant-derived preservatives (sodium levulinate/anisate) to maintain the safety and stability of the water-based formula. These are among the most well-tolerated preservative systems available and are far preferable to an unstable product.
What is The Ritual Promise?
