The Ayurveda Story

Oud — Agarwood — has been revered across ancient civilisations not merely for its scent, but for its profound effect on the nervous system. In Ayurveda, it is considered a Medhya Rasayana: an herb that calms the mind while strengthening the body vital tissue. The Oudh Body Oil carries this heritage into a daily ritual of grounding and nourishment. Applied warm to damp skin in long sweeping strokes toward the heart — the classic Abhyanga technique — it penetrates deeply via Sesame Oil warming nature, leaving the skin restored and the senses quietly anchored. Ideal for Vata types and those seeking stillness at the end of a long day.

Frequently Asked

Is the Oud scent very strong?

The fragrance is intentionally subtle — grounding and warm rather than overpowering. It is designed for those who want the therapeutic benefits of Agarwood without a heavy perfume effect. It fades to a skin-close warmth within an hour.

Can I use this on my face?

This is formulated as a body oil — the concentration of actives and the texture are optimised for body use. For the face, we recommend The Radiance Face Oil instead.

How do I do Abhyanga correctly?

Warm a small amount of oil in your palms. Begin at the feet and massage in long upward strokes toward the heart. Use circular motions at the joints. Spend 5–10 minutes before bathing. According to Ayurveda, morning is the ideal time — it balances Vata and sets a grounded tone for the day.

Is it suitable for Pitta skin types?

Oud has warming properties, so it is best suited for Vata and Kapha types. If you are predominantly Pitta, we recommend The Rose Body Oil instead for its cooling, calming effect.
